BellBell Is Free...

The very sad and terribly frightened Dogue de Bordeaux, who occasioned a lot of interest, has been bailed out of the pound and is now FREE!

When we tried to put a collar and lead on her, she was absolutely terrified but as soon as we got to the car, she was quick to jump in. We don't think she could get away from the pound fast enough.... It is always a worry when you are dealing with an animal which is so afraid as they sometimes become aggressive. However, we are happy to say that this girl has not got a mean bone in her body... She is an absolute darling who just needs lots of love (and food) to enable her to trust again... Sue was even able to hug her and look into her face to tell her that things were going to be okay from now on. Aleace - who is to be her carer - was able to do the same.

We called her Shreya which is an Indian word for "fortunate" but we discovered that her actual name is BellBell...... Things went very wrong for this girl just over a year ago and the final straw came when she was dropped to the pound by someone who found her wandering in Soldiers Hill....However, her luck has just improved dramatically and we will make it our mission to see that she has a very happy ending.

We will be looking for a home when she has gained some weight and is in a much happier mental state.
