About Phoenix
This super cute playful little pup is just a joy to have around. He is wonderful with the other puppies but also confident to play with the bigger dogs, who just think he is great. He loves his tucker, loves playing with the other dogs and with his toys, and loves a big nap on a comfortable bed. Because he is the littlest in care, Phoenix has his own crate. Sometimes we have to just put him in it because he would play forever! Phoenix is crated overnight and sleeps through the night from about 9 pm until 6 am when he gets taken outside for half and hour or so before his breakfast. He is doing great with his house training, provide his human anticipates his routine.
Phoenix came to us through the local vet. They were caring for him for the local Fire Department. The Firefighters had attended a house fire in one of the town camps in Tennant Creek and rescued him from the house. The vet initially thought he had passed, but found a faint heartbeat and resuscitated him and treated him for smoke inhalation and minor burns. The vet nurse fostered him for a couple of weeks and then he came to us. He has just progressed in leaps and bounds, gaining energy and fitness day by day. This little guy is really a miracle pup, and everyone who has come in contact with him loves him and wants him to have the best life possible. He would make a wonderful family dog, especially with another playful dog in the family. Some lucky family is going to have a lot of fun with this special little pup.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Phoenix's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Phoenix is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.
