About Murrey
My name is Murray, I’m a big boy, with an even bigger heart.
There’s nothing more in the world I enjoy more than pats, cuddles and being amongst the action. Because of that, the second you whistle or call my name I will be at your side. Plus, you’ll always know where I am, not just because of my size, but because of the ‘thud, thud, thud’ sound that my constantly-wagging tail makes against whatever wall, floor of fence I’m near. I’m very good on a lead, and just love to take in all of the smells. I’m a pretty quick learner and respect my place amongst the people. Even though I love my food, I’m happy to wait for it as long as you keep telling me too – just don’t mind that bit of drool if you take toooo long. I’m really playful with my foster sister, and always share toys, food and even bones with her. I do have a loud bark but I only use it when I want to warn you about something out of place. I’m a happy goofball with a reputation for melting hearts, I may be bigger than you’re average lap dog but that won’t stop me from giving it a good go. At the moment I stay outside when there’s no one home but boy oh boy do I love it when they come home and let me hang out with them inside. If you have room in your heart for a big lovable goofball i would love nothing more to fill that spot.
much love Murrey xx dog
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home, or in a public place. If you have other animals they must be at the meet.
If at the meet, you and the dog get along- you have the option of either taking the dog on the spot (in exchange for the full adoption fee paid upfront, and contract signed)- or placing the dog on hold for up to 2 days without any holding fee applicable. When adoption begins you will be provided with 7 days' worth of food for the dog, as well as what brand and type of food it is, so that you may change their diet carefully and slowly, or purchase more, if needed.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold dogs for 3 days or longer, without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the dog, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters and so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit non refundable to avoid time-wasters, especially when it comes to puppies under 5 months of age. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the dog. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you pay a $100 holding fee so we can hold the dog for a week- the day you collect the dog you will sign and adoption contract, and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
On commencement of the trial period, OTC will send you a copy of your signed contract, the vaccination cards, desexing certificate and microchip number implant details.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
