Douglas is a lovely adult Australian Cattle Dog of approximately 3 years age. He has a lovely soft coat, big gentle paws and a giant head that he’d love to push into your chest.

Douglas is a large snuggle bug. He loves nothing more than to snuggle up to his favourite human and to accompany them wherever they go. Although he will go on his bed, he will always keep an eye out to keep you in sight.

As Douglas came from a fairly quiet rural area, he is still learning about new things; like trucks, cars, roads and traffic. He is a gentle leash walker and will happily walk alongside, but he is still working on his confidence around busy roads.

So far, Douglas has demonstrated that he is a gentle fellow with a frisky streak. When he is happy, his whole body shakes with joy. When he feels frisky he prances around like a show pony. He also loves to lean on you when you pat him. He takes food gently from your hand and sits for pats.

Douglas has come from an environment with a lot of other dogs, but he isn’t too interested in them. His main focus is his favourite human. Although he’d likely tolerate another doggy presence in a future home, he would probably be just as happy on his own (so long as his favourite human is around a lot).

This boy is still learning the ropes about suburban life and can be a little nervous. He would do best in an environment free of young children. He has shown no interest chasing small prey and would likely be fine living in a home with a cat.
