About Mitty D1044 adopted 23/9/18
Hi, my name is Mitty! Through no fault of my own I need to find a new family to love me and to love back. When people meet me they say I am simply a beautiful soul. I am hoping for the following in my new home:
* I do like to snuggle up close and personal at night time, so sharing a bed is my No.1 preference however I will stay on my own bed in your room if you prefer.
* I’m getting old and have lumps and bumps and my skin has been affected by long term allergies. This does mean my skin looks unusual in places but I hope the fact that I have a cute little face and am also beautiful inside helps make up for my funny tummy :( My ears have had repeated infections but finally my SAFE carer has this under control with diet and the occasional morning medication, so they are much better now. I do best when not walking much on grass, so astro turf or pavers would suit me best when outside.
* I love a daily walk and meeting dogs along the way. I am quite light on lead and not reactive to animals which makes me easy to walk!
* I like to follow my nose which can get me into mischief if you let me off lead, especially considering my eye sight and hearing are ageing with me.
* I share the home with a calm dog and get along fine with any size dog, however, am past wanting to play with the youngsters or boisterous dogs so please no pups or very excitable dogs in my new home.
* I bark at outside noises in the neighbourhood until I am used to where I am; I am such a good little guard dog! But I probably won't suit a unit complex because of this.
* Although I like children, I am a bit unsure of the fuss and attention that comes with very small children, so my ideal home will be with high school aged children or adults only.
* Cats... hmmm, well, given the chance, they are rather fun to chase. I am interested in birds when I see them out and about, and have not met chickens.
* I love a car ride.

Medical notes
Mitty is sterilised, vaccinated, microchipped (transfer to new owner is included in adoption fee). He has been vet checked, flea treated and wormed.
Mitty came to us with a severe skin allergy which has taken a few weeks of medication, good diet, and coconut oil to treat. He now looks a different dog but will most likely require ongoing monitoring along with possible antihistamine/additional allergy treatment when required. He seems to do better when kept off grass. His carer can provide further info.
