Axel

Axel is a stunning young Rottweiler who still looks like a puppy even though he is all grown up. He loves people and has a big fan club here at the shelter. He can take a little while to warm up to new people but it's never too long before they are also added to his list of friends.

Axel is food and toy motivated and excels at training, giving his handlers lots of attention and focus. He might enjoy learning a dog sport as part of his enrichment in his new home.

He can walk past other dogs without barking as long as his handler keeps his attention and we are continuing to teach him that dogs are fun. We think he would do best in a home without other dogs or pets.
