About Maggie ** A Mini Rottweiler ** eoi's accepted
Maggie is a very sweet 12 month old Miniature Rottweiler. She has not had the best start in life and gets easily scared so we are asking for dog lovers to come and meet little Maggie and show her that people are not so scary and actually give pretty awesome cuddles and treats (desensitization by positive exposure).
If you always wanted a Rottie but always struggled with their size then Maggie is your girl. She is absolutely tiny for her breed. Honestly she is the size of a staffy.
Fast forwarding to when Maggie will be ready to be adopted, we will be looking for an adult only family (boisterous little ones are way too scary), of a calm and gentle nature so she builds up her confidence and reaches her true potential.
Maggie is not a high energy pup but she will need a human companion to take her on lead walks - she is perfect on the lead - that will expose her to more of what the world has to offer.
Maggie is great with other friendly dogs and totally accepting of cats (even if they scare her a little).
Right now, the dog park is more than what she can handle as too many strangers, smells and potential friends in one go, but once her confidence is brought up, she will be everyone's bestie.
In the dog community, dogs are usually referred to as fight or flight. Maggie is the latter as she would never engage what scares her.
Her kisses are the best!!! As soon as she has a positive association with you, she will shower you with kisses and lay down by your side, or even sit on your feet, to show her appreciation.
1. You love dogs and are going to be in the neighbourhood - contact us to meet Maggie so she gets exposed to more 'good humans'.
2. You love dogs, specially Rotties and are looking for your new best friend - contact us to meet Maggie and come back as much as you want as she will need to develop a relationship with her new family to be.
