About Asti ~ Cattle Dog x (on trial 2/7/2018)
Hi I’m Asti a Cattle Dog x pup, and just like the wine I’m sweet, bubbly and everyone’s favourite! My coat is as fluffy as a polar bear so I give the best cuddles and love to smother you with kisses. I can take a little to warm up to you as I had a very sheltered start to life but once I get to know you I’ll be your best friend - just ask my foster mum, wherever she is I am and she loooves my cuddles and kisses!
As all puppies do, I’m going through “that puppy stage” but please understand this is just a phase and your love, attention and persistence will help me get through it. Puppy school will also help and I’d love to go with my new family! Not just for training but for socialisation too.
I will grow up to be a medium to large girl but I’m small and inquisitive now so it’s very important for my new yard to be safe and secure and for there to be no where I could escape from. I can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
As I’m still a baby, I will need someone home with me for the first couple of months while I’m still eating breakfast, lunch and dinner and while I’m getting used to my new home. This can be very scary for me so I’ll need you there to help me settle in. A fur brother or sister will help with this too! I live with my 3 siblings and my foster brother and sister and I love them so much!
If you think your home will be the perfect place for me to grow up and become part of your family forever, then please email my foster mum with an application form http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx on brittany_wilson@live.com I am currently in Newcastle area, NSW.
As Asti is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
Asti's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
