About Markle
Markle is on the smaller side of medium, weighing in at just 13kg. She is a gorgeous little girl with her beautiful tri-color markings and cute ear thing - one up and one down! Markle is really good value with the puppies, who she will run around and play with, or cuddle up in a dog bed with. She loves to play with the toys as well and will share them nicely. She has lots of energy and wants to be involved in everything that's going on. Like all good camp dogs, Markle does not really need to be on the lead because she just comes along with you and is not interested in running off. She is very loving, and has been very easy to train - even without treat she tries hard to do the right thing. She learnt to walk on the lead in about 10 seconds, and is doing very well with sitting for a pat.
Markle was surrendered to the Animal Control Officer from Ali Curung by an indigenous family that had too many dogs. She was absolutely terrified in the Pound and took a long time to coax out, but as soon as she was safe in the car, she changed completely, and is now a lovely, lively happy girl who just wants to please and do the right thing. She will be the most loyal of dogs to her new family.
Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Markle's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Markle is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.
