About Betty ~ Terrier x (on trial 27/6/2018)
Betty is a small medium mixed breed terrier - to be honest we are not 100% sure what breed she is but we do know she is an affectionate, excited and playful pup.
Betty weighs about 14 kgs and she is 10 months old.
Betty does need some basic training but is toilet trained. She is very smart and learnt very quickly how to use a doggy door and was taking herself outside within a hour.
Betty is quite strong on lead when walking so a walking harness would be very beneficial for her. She requires someone to be patient with her and be willing to give her the love and training she requires.
Betty loves nothing more then to be around her family. She sleeps inside on her doggy bed. She would thrive with someone being home most of the time with her so would make an excellent companion for someone looking for a doggy friend.
Betty is good with dogs bigger than her but is a bit rough with dogs smaller as is still quite playful. We feel Betty prefers the company of people and bonds very quickly so might be better as an only dog so she can have lots of attention. She enjoys a snuggle.
Betty would suit someone who is retired or a family with children 10 years and above who she can play with.
if you would like to meet Betty please call her carer, Deborah on 0413 644 028 or email Sharron sstudley3@bigpond.com. She is located in Kotara and is available for adoption interstate.
Betty’s adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
