Miss Ziggy is a 10-month-old Border Collie mix who absolutely loves to cuddle up and be near her humans!
She gets along fantastically with her kelpie foster brother and they burn their working breed energy successfully every day. As Ziggy suffers from separation anxiety, it would be best if her forever family have another fur brother or sister to keep her company when you are away. She is not cat/small animal friendly.
She can be food-defensive but has been trained with treats and fed alongside her foster brother successfully. Just to minimise an increase in food aggression, it is suggested to feed her from other animals. Ziggy has unfortunately been starved before, so please keep feeding times consistent every day for her to have some peace of mind.
Being a Border Collie mix, Ziggy is incredibly intelligent and has learnt new tricks from a very small amount of training! She is completely house trained and can use a doggy door. She will get nauseous from car trips but is learning that they’re not so bad if the end destination is the park! An adaptil collar can be purchased to help with her anxiety and motion sickness, as recommended by the vet.
Although initially wary of people, it will only take a little time before she becomes your shadow!
