About Makoto
Introducing Mr. Happy!
Makoto is a wonderful little guy with a great personality. He is very engaged with his people and loves your companionship. You will often find him following his foster carer around with his tail wagging. Makoto is very affectionate and loves to be told he is good and get a pat. He thoroughly enjoys cuddle time on the lounge. When meeting strangers he can be a bit shy but warms up once they become more familiar to him.
This boy loves other dogs. He is in foster care with two other small dogs but also enjoys regular trips to the dog park. There he loves to play with other dogs of all sizes and is friendly with all the dogs he meets. His foster home also has a 4 month old kitten which he was unsure of at first but they have been introduced slowly and now even play together! Being a relatively active little dog, Makoto requires daily exercise and he will benefit from regular trips to the dog park or beach where he can socialise and play. He even gets his own lead ready for a walk and will play with it till you put it on at walk time!
Makoto is a smart boy who is food motivated. He knows how to sit for his treat and wait patiently for his dinner. On the lead he can be a bit strong. Off the lead at the park he is very well behaved. Makoto is toilet trained and travels well in the car, though finds getting in and out of the car a bit scary.
We are looking for an active home where Makoto will be considered a part of the family. He requires a home with another playful dog as a companion (any size is fine!). Makoto should be allowed inside the home to be with the family and have a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. Whoever gets to take this boy home will be very lucky indeed.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
