About Tasha ~ Rottweiler (on trial 3/7/2018)
Dog Rescue Newcastle is helping Tasha find a new home. Tasha is a female Rottweiler who is approximately 3 & 1/2 years old. Tasha is an energetic, loving bundle of joy! A medium sized dog, she has a sweet puppy dog face and has a glossy, typical Rottweiler coat.
Tasha loves human interaction very much. She is sweet natured and loving and always keen for a pat or belly rub and would love nothing more than to curl up at your feet! A great family dog and terrific with children of all ages but due to her size would be best for children over 5 years old.
Tasha would be suitable as an only dog. She is used to being inside and is toilet trained but can be also be outside dog and sleeps well outside. She greets other dogs well she can be playful and enjoys a bit of a chase or rough play but probably prefers humans.
Tasha would make an excellent guard dog as she will alert you when someone arrives but knows when to stop. She enjoys her walks very much and would suit an active family. She loves to get out and about sniffing and likes a bit of a swim. But she also enjoys laying around watching your activities!
Tasha can pull fairly strongly on the lead, however only at the beginning of a walk and soon settles down but we would recommend a walking harness. Tasha does well at sitting for meals and putting on lead but needs a few more lessons so would need a confident owner. She is a strong dog but also a total sook!
Tash can jump up in excitement; particularly around food. Tasha has met a cat and wasn't fazed by it. Tasha is scared of thunderstorms and likes to hide under cover. As long as has a safe place to go she settles fairly well.
If you would like to meet Tasha, Kirsten is taking all enquiries. Please email kkelow@gmail.com or call 02 9043 1261. Tasha is located at Gillieston Heights and is available for adoption interstate.
Tasha’s adoption fee is $500 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
