About Gerry and Boofy ~ Foxie x Chi (on trial 20/5/18)
Meet two lovable little urchins, Geronimo but known to his friends as Gerry, and his younger brother Boofy. They are Foxie x Chihuahua. Gerry is 4 years old Boofy 2½ both from the same parents but obviously from different litters.
They are not large dogs, Gerry weighs in at 5kg Boofy at 4kg. They appear inseparable and have a strong emotional bond. One does not go far without the other following. Gerry, the elder, appears to be the slightly more bossy. It would be an act of cruelty to consider separating this pair.
These two pups have been surrendered into care for genuine domestic reasons. They do not appear to have ever been subject to any mistreatment; they are well adjusted and have good social skills with other animals and of course with humans. They are presently in foster care with 4 other small dogs. In their previous home environment they were living happily with two other dogs, (one was their father and the other a slightly larger dog) and a younger cat. Just how they might contend with some new cat in a new home might be questionable - probably not a good idea we would feel.
They have both been Vet checked. They enjoy obvious good health, have good teeth, eyes and ears. There is no sign of any heart problems. They have good glossy coats.
Gerry and Boofy are the original timewasters and love nothing better than curling up on a lap – anybody’s lap will do. They will soak up as much TLC as you might find the time to give. They are very friendly little boys. They enjoy their walking and in view of their ancestry it would be thought important to see that they managed a good walk each day – preferably two, morning as well as afternoon – burn off some of that exuberance and energy.
These are two very handsome well mannered little dogs. We do not think they will remain in foster care long. Do you have room in your home for these little blokes?
For more information or to meet Gerry and Boofy, please contact their foster carer Anita on anita.waters@me.com Gerry and Boofy are in foster care in Swansea area, NSW and are available for adoption interstate.
Gerry and Boofy’s adoption fee is $800 and they are both desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
