About Daniel
Introducing Daniel the 3 year old Rottweiler (fluffweiler)
A lot of people ask is Daniel a purebred Rottweiler and the answer is yes! He has a gorgeous coat that is a little fluffier then your average rotti which makes him even cuter in our opinion 😍 Daniel is a smaller size Rottweiler at around 40-45kg mark!
He is in perfect body condition and at his ideal weight! Keeping Rottweilers slim is important for their overall health and well-being an overweight Rottweiler causes lots of joint issues as well as other things.
Daniel is a very chilled out, loveable and sweet boy but can be equally as clumsy (he doesn’t realise his size)
Daniel is ball obsessed! He loves chasing his ball and could do it for hours!
He isn’t food motivated so is abit more of a challenge to train. Daniel is house trained and great around the yard (doesn’t excessively bark and doesn’t dig or chew)
He loves swimming although he isn't very good at it, he always requires our extra bit of support when in the water but would swim all day if he could! Daniel can be a little scared by waves so rivers and pools are more up his alley.
Daniel is not suitable for a home with young children.
Daniel loves his walks but does require some more leash training he is quite strong and does pull when walking on the lead. He needs a family willing to work on his leash manners.
He has grown up with a cat who he loves, he always initially tries to playfully chase the cat but after a few minutes settles down and will sit peacefully. Very slow introductions to any cats in the family are needed.
Daniel would benefit from group training sessions to help with his socialisation with other dogs and to build confidence (he can be abit nervey at times)
Daniel can be easily annoyed with other dogs and is best as an only dog for now! (With ongoing training and socialising we are confident he would be able to live with another dog in the future)
Daniel is well behaved in the car. He was crate trained as a pup so can definitely be reintroduced to crates easily.
Daniel is currently on Blackhawk diet. He can have a sensitive stomach to things like pigs ears.
Over all Daniel is a beautiful companion who would suit a family without kids or with older kids.
He needs an experienced large dog home that are committed to on going training and socialisation. Daniel needs a decent size secure yard.
Medical notes
Medical Notes:
When Daniel was a pup he had some issues with his growth plates and occasionally had a limp. We had this thoroughly investigated and there is no permanent issues. Daniel is a little bit clumsy and sometimes twists his leg when jumping for the ball - He may have a slight limp for a few hours bit just ensure that he is immediately rested and he will be fine in a few hours.
