Is this the new best friend you’ve been looking for? Because Jake wants to be friends with everyone!
Jakey is the friendliest 11 month old white Staghound cross. He is not going to grow into a giant hound but will remain on the more compact side. He has a very sweet and affectionate nature and is searching for his new best friend who will spend time training him, cuddling with him and enjoying his sweet beardy face.
Jake is currently in foster care with a large male dog and loves having a playmate to burn off some of that puppy energy! He is learning to be calm inside and happily has naps inside his crate while his foster mum works at her desk. Jake has also learned to eat alongside his doggy friend and shares his toys happily especially if there’s a game of tug of war or zoomie chasey to be had! Jake is not really sure around cats and hasnt had a lot to do with them
His perfect home would be with older children to love and play with and a home with a doggy companion would be even more perfect. Jake needs a safe and secure yard. A home with another dog to keep him company would be great
Since living with his foster family he has learned how wonderful life can be when you are part of a loving family. Now he adores watching tv and cuddling, playing with kids and sleeping with his doggy friend on the dog bed.

Jake has toilet trained in a short time and is also learning other basic obedience, he is eager to learn and is a joy to have around.
Jake has participated in a short course at Alpha dog training, and walks well on a halter and responds extremely well to his verbal cues.
