About Princess
Introducing Princess. She has been nicknamed 'Not So Regal' as she's actually just a big boof head. In complete contrast to her goofy personality she's actually super smart. She learned to sit in a pack and await command to eat, to sit to cross the road, to respect invisible boundaries etc etc incredibly quickly. She is intelligent and quick to learn. She's physically strong (30 kg) and she is walked with a haltie so she wouldn't be the dog for a first time owner. Although she's young and still bouncy her energy level is only medium. So a good 30 minute walk a day keeps her happy. She's in foster with two male dogs and plays well with both. She has absolutely zero food aggression and freely shares balls/toys/beds etc. An ideal home for Princess would be with a good sized male dog or a submissive female. Although she has been taught not to chase the birds, 'not so regal' certainly would if unsupervised, so a home without any pocket sized pets or cats would be advisable. Princess was in Council's adoption centre but the public failed to recognise the potential in this lovely looking lady. With the improvement in Princess's behaviour in just one week of foster care, she's right on track for becoming a fantastic pet. Her adoption fee is $250 and available for meet and greets and for a 2 week trial for a fully refundable $50.
Adoption details
Fraser Coast Animal Rescue house all our dogs in care with foster carers in family homes. This allows the dogs to experience life in family situations with other dogs, cats, children, chooks and various other domestic animals. This gives us an opportunity to discover their traits and personalities, likes and dislikes, and which dogs would suit which family dynamics.
We offer a 14 day trial period for all potential adoptees so they can see if the dog they have chosen is a fit with their family situation. There is a $50 refundable deposit paid on the commencement of the trial period, which comes off the balance of the adoption fee should you wish to formally adopt your chosen dog. If you decide that the dog doesn't fit with your family, the dog will be returned into foster care, and the full balance of the deposit is refunded to you with no fees or charges.
If you wish to arrange a meet and greet with one of our dogs in care, please call Dianne on 0400346347 or email dianne.north@hotmail.com
The committee and carers of Fraser Coast Animal Rescue are all volunteers, so please be patient with us if we don't answer your enquiries straight away.
