About Orlando ~ Shar Pei x puppy (on trial 25/5/2018)
EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: I'm Orlando, a fat faced chubby Shar Pei x boy. I've just learnt to lick and wag my tail. Also like to play, although sometimes me legs run faster than my body. I will be available for adoption in a few weeks after my microchip and vaccination. I have loads of puppy love to give and I love to chew toys and newspaper.
I'm a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. I haven't had the chance to meet a lot of furfriends as I'm still too little but my foster mum says when I'm a little older I'm going to love it! I would really love to have another dog and/or older kids to play with as I am going to be so playful
Orlando will grow up to be a medium sized dog. He will be intelligent, eager, alert, energetic, friendly and loyal. His temperament and behaviour will be shaped by how you raise and train him
We always recommend puppy training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Orlando. If you don't have another dog to keep him company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Orlando will need to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least
until fully grown. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Orlando’s siblings Obie and Orana will be also available for adoption.
As Orlando is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.

Orlando’s adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. (2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
