Ziegler

Hello handsome!

This good looking boy is Ziegler; however, you shouldn’t be fooled by his buff tough look. He is one big softy who melts into your arms as soon as you look into his loving puppy dog eyes. Ziegler is a happy and gentle dog with a goofy personality. He absolutely loves belly rubs and a good scratch. His tail will wag at a million miles an hour in all different directions when you come home or give him attention so you can tell how much he loves you. Ziegler enjoys meeting new people and is friendly with everyone that he meets. This big softy is looking for a loving home where he will be given plenty of attention and cuddles.

His friendly personality extends to other dogs. He is very social with dogs of all ages and sizes, and enjoys playing with other dogs. He is currently in care with another dog that he gets along well with, and he is taken on regular trips to the local dog park. His favourite game is chasings where he can stretch out his long legs. Ziegler will require daily exercise and regular socialisation throughout his life to keep him healthy and happy.

Ziegler is a smart boy and a fast learner. He loves to impress, and he is very food motivated. In fact, his favourite room of the house is probably the kitchen! He can sit, drop (lie down), and sits politely when waiting for his food. His foster carer is working on teaching him some improved lead manners and he is progressing well. As he enjoys training so much, and could really excel in this area, it would be ideal for his new family to continue his training. His house manners are excellent; he is house trained and sleeps on his bed inside through the night. Ziegler also travels well in the car so will be keen to join you on outings.

We are looking for a home where Ziegler will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities. He will require a home with another friendly doggy companion and/or where someone is home most of the time. He seems fond of children and enjoys their attention so we expect him to be fine in a home with children, but he is a big boy so slightly older or dog savvy kids would be best. Ziegler should be allowed inside to be with the family and needs a comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. Whoever gets to take this boy home will have a big gentle teddy bear to be their loyal companion for many days ahead.
