About Jessie ~ Terrier x Corgi x Chi (on trial 19/5/2018
Jessie is a 6 year old Terrier x Corgi x Chihuahua mix who just loves to be near you. This lovely girl weighs only about 5 kgs and will be your little shadow and be very protective of you. She is extremely loyal and a very gentle little soul.
Jessie has had a cruciate ligament surgery end of February this year. When she was in pain or discomfort with her leg injury she would not eat and her foster mum had to force feed her. Not once did Jessie growl or try to bite her. Jessie’s leg is healing well but may not be able to do leaps and bounds for another few weeks.
Jess loves her walks and rides in the car. She can be a little reactive to other dogs while on a leash. She gets on well with other dogs and children and loves to lie in the sun with my other dog.
Jessie copes well when left alone and is housetrained. She wouldn’t mind being an only dog. She is not a barker but will bark if someone approaches house. Jessie will reward you with lots of love and be your very loyal companion.
Jessie gets on with chickens. She used to live with a cat and she was good with him. Jessie is energetic, playful and just loves everyone.
Jessie would like to go to a home with an older or retired person or couple who can spend a lot of time with her. She needs to be an inside dog.
For more information or to meet Jessie, please contact her foster carer Kay on kaystarr1@hotmail.com Jessie is in foster care in Mayfield, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Jessie’s adoption fee is $400 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
