About Patsy
We adopted beautiful Patsy from Jack Russell Rescue a month ago. She is an absolute delight and we love her very much which is why it is so hard for us to re-home her.
Unfortunately she does not get along with our cat Gene, who loves dogs. We were hoping with some training and work she would come around but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case.
The cat makes her extremely anxious and Patsy has show aggression towards him so for this reason she must be in a home with NO CATS!
She has played with other dogs on and off the lead and on my parents farm. She can be a bit anxious to start with but settles after a little while of playing. She can be a bit of an ankle biter so dogs that aren’t tolerant are probably not a good idea.
We have done a bit of training with her, sit, stay, down, got to bed, she’s toilet trained and will happily go outside to toilet as long as she has a doggie door.
She is very energetic and will need to have walks and runs daily. She is learning to play fetch and getting better at it everyday.
She still needs a bit of work with the training but she's a super enthusiastic learner and is very food orientated but has shown no food aggression.
She loves the car and traveling and has done a few long trips including 8 hours to and from Gippsland to Canberra and was a dream, no barking just cuddles and sleeping.
She loves baths at the pet store and is very well behaved at cafes when tied up as long as she’s near you and has something to chew and she loves people watching.
She really is a wonderful funny little girl who loves cuddles and a belly rub and to hoard all her favourite things in a pile. She plays a little rough with our 5 year old boy which he is ok with, but she can be quite boisterous so would probably be better with older kids. She does seem to love kids and has never bitten shown aggression or hurt anyone and is happy to be patted and cuddled but can be jumpy, mouthy and excitable in a puppy way. My son loves her as do we and it is breaking our hearts to let her go, so we are really wanting to make sure she goes to a home where she will be a loved member of the family.
Patsy will also come with the items we have purchased for her. She is located in Canberra.
We will be heartbroken but look forward to meeting her new family.
