Tyke

Tyke is a gorgeous pint sized little fellow who is just the right size to fit on a lap. He is very sweet and snuggly, and fond of a quieter life than he is currently experiencing in a foster situation with lots of puppies and large dogs. He gets on well with them, but loves to be put for a nap in the bedroom where he goes on the dog bed under the bed for a snooze. He never really has had a safe place so he is a bit anxious in a big mob. Being so small (only 7 kg) he feels vulnerable. Nevertheless he loves a walk and we think would quite like the coffee shop scene as well!

Tyke has been living in a remote community and was surrendered with his housemate to the Pound by his owners. He was cared for in the Pound for a week or so, and he found that quite scary. He is a grateful little boy, who just wants to be someone's special boy.

Our rescue and rehabilitation work happens in Central Australia, but because of the scarcity of adopters locally, our re-homing operation is in South Australia. Tyke's adoption fee includes crate hire, courier transport by road from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs, and a direct flight from Alice Springs to Adelaide. Tyke is currently in foster care in Elliott NT.
