About Sally 💕
Sally is an adventurous, outgoing little girl who loves the attention from her humans as well as the company of other dogs. We are unsure about her breed, but do believe there is Staffy and possibly greyhound in there :) She is currently in care in a family environment, where she is learning basic commands, boundaries, toilet training and what it means to be loved. Sally has been socialised with 2 small older dogs and children while in care and outlasts both in playtime energy. She loves her food and has shown no aggressive behaviour while in care.
Do you love the outdoors? Enjoy an active lifestyle? If your answer is yes, and you're looking for an active, medium to large companion to complete your family, then Sally may just be the girl you need! She is high energy, and we aren't kidding....if you're looking for a couch potato, scroll on past. Sally will need a home and family that enjoy sporting activities, outings to the beach, ball play and patience with training. Sally has proven to her foster family that she's a clever girl, but does get easily distracted when something more exciting is happening around her. She would also suit a home with older children (10yrs +) due to her energy and size.
Sally would benefit from having a larger, older dog in her new home. Someone who could keep up with her playful antics, someone to play chase with, rumble with and receive guidance from. She is an extremely active little girl, so a senior companion would not cope well with her playful energy. If she was to be an only dog, she would need continued socialisation with other dogs during her puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that she grows up to be a well mannered, socialised young lady.
We would love to help get you started with that, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina (Central Coast), have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Sally's vet work will be completed on Wednesday 9th May, and will be available to take home from 11th May. She is very much looking forward to meeting her potential new family :)
