About Yemen (CaV18-130)
Handsome Yemen is feeling a bit lost and confused. He's a bit tough guy on the outside, used to cruising the streets and ruling the neighbourhood but it turns out that inside, he's a great bit marshmallow.
Yemen has not been part of a family for a long time - in care, he is shut down, not eating much and trying to curl up into such a small ball that maybe we won't think he exists.
We know that Yemen has the potential to blossom into a gorgeous boy - all he needs is time, patience, love and more time. Yemen will need to be an indoor-only cat for a variety of reasons - his little pink nose is prone to skin cancer; his nervous nature makes him unsuited to going outdoors and he is also FIV positive. There's more info about FIV here: https://www.petrescue.com.au/library/articles/caring-for-cats-with-feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv
And if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.
If you are Yemen's special someone, we would love to hear from you!
*UP-DATE 25/5/2018*
Our little Yemen is finally coming out of his shell! He's a super smooch who loves head rubs and ear scratches almost as much as he loves roast chicken! He still runs and hides if something startles him, and tries to curl up into a non-existent ball, but he's finally blossoming. With just a bit of time and patience, someone will be VERY lucky to have this darling boy. We love him to bits!
Adoption details
Thank you for taking the time to view one of our lovely animals. We love them all and we hope you will too.
If you would like to know more about an animal please call Freedom on 0409 000 259. If it sounds like you and the furry creature are a suitable match then we will pass on the foster carer’s details to you so you can call and make a time to meet them.
Once you have met the animal and wish to go further then we may organise a yard check to ensure that your yard is safe and secure (dogs only). You can then take your new family member home on a 2 week trial and if you decide they are not suitable then you can return them.
If you are not sure how existing animals in your home might be affected, or you want a little extra time to get to know the nature of the animal, we may allow you to foster with a view to adopt.
