About Carrick
Introducing Mr Loveable!
Carrick is looking for a family to share his love with! He has so much to give and is very friendly with all the people that he meets. Really, you make his day just being with him! In the evenings he loves nothing more than curling up on the lounge with you for cuddles and will nuzzle in right next to you. When visitors come he is straight over to receive pats and cuddles. Carrick loves to play with toys of all types and his little games with them will make you laugh. This beautiful boy is going to make someone very happy indeed.
With other dogs Carrick is just as friendly. He is very dog sociable and loves to go to the off-lead dog park to play and make new friends. He has also had other dogs come and stay or visit in his foster home and he likes this very much as long as they are not too pestering so he can get his beauty sleep! Carrick would love to have another doggy friend at home and/or get regular trips to the dog park to play and socialise. He will need daily exercise throughout his life to keep him healthy and happy.
While in care, Carrick has been learning new things and going really well. He is a smart boy who is food motivated and a quick learner. He walks great on the lead when wearing a halti and he’s listening more and more to his carer at the dog park when he is called. Carrick has been attending some dog training classes with his carer and is progressing through the levels. He has learnt sit, drop, stand, and stay, but could learn heaps more if you have the treats ready. Some general dog training classes would be great for Carrick and it also helps build that bond between man and dog. Although still young, he is out of the puppy stage and doesn’t dig or chew, and he is not a nuisance barker. Carrick is well mannered around the home including being toilet trained.
We are looking for a home where Carrick will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities and outings. He would love a home with another doggy friend but is also fine to be left alone, as long as he gets his exercise and attention when you are home. He should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a nice comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He is best suited to older or more dog savvy children and is not tested with cats at this stage. Carrick is ready and waiting to join his new family on adventures and looks forward to getting lots of cuddles and attention!
If you would like to make this beautiful boy a part of your family then let us know by filling in an adoption enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
