About Franklyn
I'm trying a new home to see if i like it. Franklyn is sister to pia and baby girl and is a bit of character who thought that sitting still to pose for camera really was a bit too much to ask of such young pup! he is a friendly little fellow who is used to living indoors and having lots of company therefore he is best suited to a home with another dog or with people who are home for most of the day.
franklyn is one of a number of puppies who are available for adoption from a remote community in the northern territory. their rescuer raises the most wonderful pups. . . . All are different, all are blends of numerous different breeds and are very healthy young dogs with great temperaments. these puppies have been well socialised with other dogs, people, children and the 20 or so that have been rehomed in sydney to date have been great with cats as well. all our 'desert puppies' are available for adoption outside nsw. Update 10 may: franklyn (who is now in foster care in sydney) is such an easy pup! now 6 months old, he loves playing with his young foster dog friend harriette but will quickly settle down and, if allowed, loves to cuddle up next to you on the sofa and happy to be there for as long as you want. franklyn is not a big dog (about small kelpie size) and very lean but with the most gorgeous big ears and a tail which is so long it hits each side of his body when he wags. just like all his other 'desert dog' pals he has a lovely nature and there is no reason why he should not be rehomed with children, cats or other dogs. franklyn has access to outside most of the day but has shown very good doggy manners by being house trained. He will bark to sound the alarm but never barks for no reason. Update 13 june: franklyn is now in foster care in sydney and he is an 'all rounder' dog who thinks of himself as the next up and coming nrl player so don't be put off by his name as he is more 'frank' than 'lyn' !! he has all the qualities of a family dog with his playfulness and easy going, gentle happy nature. Franklyn would love a family where he would be considered one of them. He is happy to join in with ball games yet gentle enough with younger children. Franklyn is happy to play with other dogs and even a cat or two!! he is not ashamed to show his sensitive side by his love of cuddly toys and of course he promises not to snore providing you let him sleep on the lounge occasionally. Franklyn is truly a family dog and is not a barker. He is playful, trustworthy and if he could cook dinner we're sure he'd do that too!! so if your family is lacking the perfect dog please why not give franklyn his forever home? he may not be able to cook dinner but he will do his own dishes by licking them clean!
franklyn comes desexed (when old enough), microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $360.
