About Ricky ~ Mixed Breed (on trial 17/5/2018)
Meet Ricky, a handsome 4 year old medium size mixed breed, most likely Cattle x Rottie. He is a sweet boy that loves getting pats, belly rubs, running around playing and is ball crazy!
Rick is happy to be in the backyard during the day and loves to come inside at night for some family time. He loves pats and cuddles; he will rest his head on your knee for a pat and will often be so relaxed he will fall asleep at your feet. Rick is very well behaved in the house, is housetrained and will stand at the backdoor if he needs to go out to the toilet.
While no longer a puppy, Ricky still loves to play! His favourite game is fetch, he will bring the ball back and drop it at your feet for as long as you’re willing to throw it. He is currently in foster care with 2 Rottweilers and loves to chase them around the backyard as well.
Rick came into foster care “pleasantly plump” and with regular exercise and a good diet has already started losing weight. He will need regular exercise to ensure he maintains a healthy weight to avoid any problems down the track.
Rick has already had some training and is quite a well-mannered dog. He knows how to sit, stay, come and lay down. He has grown out of the naughty puppy phase and hasn’t chewed or destroyed anything since being in foster care.
Ricky’s ideal forever home will be one where he is exercised regularly, given lots of love and will be included as part of the family. He would be happy to have a female doggie friend (or a submissive male) or would be okay as an only dog if he receives lots of attention and play time.
For more information or to meet Rick, please contact Donna Trudgett on 0466 099 426 or Timmypebmilo@hotmail.com Rick is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Rick’s adoption fee is $400 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
