About Kobie ~ Labrador X (on trial 8/7/18)
Meet Kobie, a 16 month old Labrador x who really is just a 38 kg hunk looking for love. Kobie hasn't a mean bone in his body, just lots of love and a hint of goofiness. Kobie is a big strong boy, so he is really not suitable for a young family. Kobie loves everyone, humans, dogs, even cats, wanting to play with them. So cats beware, unless they are extremely dog friendly.
Kobie is housetrained using a doggy door and used to sleeping inside with his family. He is a perfect age for training, like teaching him not to pull on the lead. Kobie will sit on command and stay, not always perfectly, but he doesn't try to rush out the front door when it's opened.
Kobie doesn't dig or jump fences, but Dog Rescue Newcastle will still require a secure yard for him. Kobie likes to catch flies, albeit in an ungainly and not always successful way.
Kobie is looking for a home with a furry pal to play with whilst the family are at school or work; or someone home mostly. A family that will walk him often, take him to the beach or the dog park. Kobie doesn't like water, so he is not likely to drag you in.
Kobie is just a gorgeous dude looking for a forever home, could that be yours?
For more information or to meet Kobie, please contact his foster carer Anne on anne4drn@gmail.com Kobie is in foster care in Singleton, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Kobie’s adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
