Meet Ava! This gentle girl is looking for a home to call her own.
Ava come to SAFE Esperance after being surrendered by her owner. She is a very inquisitive girl who unfortunately hasn’t been socialised very much, so she does get scared by new things easily. Ava is very keen to learn new things and responds well to treats, so training will be a breeze for her.
Ava follows her foster career around the house and loves cuddles, she is very loyal to her human.
She knows some basic commands and is house trained.
Ava is fine with other dogs after gentle introduction and would do well living with a friendly male dog, although she could be a lone pet if someone is around for most of the day with her. She will chase cats so is not suited to a home with them.
Her ideal home will be with experienced owners or someone who is willing to work with a trainer/behaviourist to help her feel more confident in new situations. Any children in the home should ideally be older, 8+ years, as she can get overwhelmed with new experiences and needs understanding and patience to get over these insecurities. She requires a home with secure fencing and needs to be allowed to sleep inside at night.
If you have lots of love to give and the patience to work with Ava to bring out her very best, please fill in an enquiry and we’ll be in touch.
