Hi! I'm Valarie. Did you notice the beautiful markings on my coat? They're just like a tortie cat's. But no... I'm a sweet little puppy instead ! Sweet, playful, snuggly, gorgeous, soft .. what more could you want?

Back at foster-land, I have a sister, Valentina. Although she's a bit bigger than me, she's a bit calmer. That's not to say I am rough, but I do like a play with her and meeting new people is so cool! I'm great with them, very sociable and friendly. Because I am still just a pup, when I am not busy playing with Valentina, I am quite a sleepy little girl and spend quite a bit of time napping.

Since foster-mum hasn't had me for long, and as I'm only a pup, while I do sometimes go outside to... do my business, I do still have accidents inside sometimes. That's only natural at this age though and I am improving a little each day.

I am good with an adult dog at foster mum's place, she doesn't bother me, I don't bother her. I am also fine with foster mum's little girls, even when they pick me up. See? I am just great! Don't you think you and I would be great buddies?

I would probably fit into most families, but beware.... I am expected to grow into a large dog so will need plenty of space and exercise twice daily. I can't wait until we meet.

I CAN FLY!

TEACH ME TO BE A GOOD DOG
Want to know more about how to teach me to be a great dog? We dogs respond well to calm, assertive and consistent leadership from our humans. I’d like daily training so that I learn and keep on practicing sit, stay, come, down, and leave it. It will help me remember how to obey you. Also, if you always keep consistent boundaries, such as where I’m allowed to go in the house or what I’m allowed to do, it will mean that I always know the right way to behave. Socialising with lots of people, dogs and other animals is important for my confidence. Getting out and about to exercise at least once a day is vital for me as it stimulates my brain and body, creates opportunities for me to socialise and it tires me out. It will stop me from being a dog that creates mischief at home out of boredom!!!! That’s after I’ve been fully vaccinated and the vaccine has had the required time afterwards to take effect, of course!

Soon, I’ll be at the puppy teething age, so tell me “no” if I’m chewing something I shouldn’t and give me a chew toy instead. We puppies like to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so we don’t get bored with them.
