About Jemma ~ Bull Arab x Cattle (on trial 25/5/2018)
Hi, I’m Jemma. I’m a gentle and loving, 3 year old Bull Arab x Cattle girl (at least this is what the vet thinks my breed is). I am such a sweet dog with a great temperament. I love attention but I’m also happy to sit by your feet or follow you wherever you go.
I have 3 legs but that doesn't hold me back. I was found with a broken leg that was too broken to repair so my leg was amputated. I am still very keen to go for a walk every day which is good to build strength in my other back leg.
I’m a medium to large sized dog – I weigh about 30 kilos. I’m toilet trained and I am currently sleeping inside, but I’m happy to sleep outside. I know some basic commands and I’m responsive to training. I’m not a big eater and I’m polite when you’re eating. I’m not a water lover but I’m easy to bath if you are gentle.
I am great with children and would make a wonderful family dog. I have previously been around other dogs and get along fine with them, but I am happy being an only dog if I get lots of time with my family. Cats don’t seem to bother me.
Spend a little time with me and you will fall in love.
For more information or to meet Jemma, please contact her foster parents Michael and Jean by emailing michaelmiller613@hotmail.com or on 0408 056 834. Jemma is in foster care in Rutherford, NSW (west of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Jemma’s adoption fee is $300 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see the adoption process and all of our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
