About Abbie - Meet and Greet organised
Abbie is a mature aged female shepherd who like so many other rescue dogs we take into care found herself homeless through no fault of her own.
A soft gentle girl who had been a much loved dog growing up around her family when her life changed forever and she came into our care.
Abbie knows her basic commands is house trained and voice responsive. Currently in care at Windsor, Abbie has just been desexed and we would say she has had a litter in her eight or so years.
Coming from a registered breeder we are endeavouring to source her pedigree papers. Abbie is very soft, loves her humans and would be an ideal companion dog for an older couple or even a family with children who will respect her needs.
For more information on Abbie please contact Linda.
Medical notes
Abbie is an older shepherd who has been desexed, vaccinated C5 and is on heart worm prevention. We have had her hydrobathed and groomed. Flea treated and wormed.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
