About Yoana D3850
Hi! My name is Yoana. I will keep you fit and fill your days with lots of fun, laughter and love. I am very alert, active and intelligent. I’m a really happy dog, always smiling and my foster carer says I have a lovely nature. I try to be the best girl I can because I feel so included in my foster carers’ lives and they make life interesting for me. I love their attention and I’m very playful. I would love a home where someone is home a lot and I can go inside and out.
Wow! I’ve learnt a lot in a really short time. I obey sit, roll over, on your bed and most of the time, I’ll lie down on command too :) When I want to go out for the toilet, I stand at the back door and knock on it once - I copied that straight away from my carers’ dog. I’m great on the lead. I have good recall and don’t run off. I stand back from the door and wait for the humans to go through first. And I’ll bark if someone approaches the house - just enough to let you know, but I don’t go on. I love to sleep in the same room as the humans, but I stay on my own bed and only get up on theirs when I’m invited. I almost always remember not to jump up, because I only get pats when I’m sitting. I’m gentle when I take treats.
I love being inside and I’m slowly getting used to the sound of the noisy machines in the house. I enjoy outside time too, chasing bugs in the garden and I really love playing with my carer’s dog. It’s even fun playing rough. But I don’t like her being near me if I’m in a corner or confined space as I feel trapped. I think I’ll get used to it after a while as she’s always nice to me. I eat happily alongside her and like cleaning her mouth, but I don’t like it when she gets pats. At the moment I growl when she gets them, but I’m definitely improving and you can ask my foster carer about my progress with that. I would love to chase cats so a home with cats is a no no for me. I haven’t met children yet but I do have a habit of gnawing on hands when I get excited which my carers are working on, but it means I wouldn’t be suitable for young children. Ummmm, a couple of little habits for you to know about is that I steal items of clothing but I don’t chew them. I just like them. I even sleep next to a pair of thongs. But I’ll chew on my own things - like my lead, bed and toys.
I’m on the smaller side of medium so I don’t take up much space :)
