About Milly π
Introducing Milly, our gorgeous little Cattle x Australian Terrier girl.....she was the smallest in her litter and needed that little bit of extra TLC when she first arrived in care. Milly is now ready to take on the world!
This cheeky little girl is fearless. Loves her humans and will lap up every bit of affection she can get. Milly is currently in foster care with 2 other bigger dogs and also a cat and gets along well with everyone. There are no children in her foster home, but with such a beautiful personality, we feel that she would cope well in a home with older children who will allow her space when needed.
Milly has displayed no food aggression or dominance with other dogs while in care. She's very playful and proving to be quite clever, picking up toilet training rather quickly, as well as basic commands, such as 'sit', 'lay down' and recall. She is crate trained at night and is living both inside and outside in her foster home.
While her foster mum is home, Milly enjoys wrestling with the host dogs and playing chase outside, but is kept separate from them (due to the size difference) while her humans are at work. She is coping quite well with being by herself during these times but would obviously prefer to have her humans around or the company of other dogs.
We feel she would suit a home with another doggie friend to keep her company and provide guidance. If she was to be an only dog, she would need continued socialisation with other dogs during her puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that she grows up to be a well mannered, socialised young lady.
We would love to help get you started with that, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina (Central Coast), have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as βsitβ, βdropβ, βstayβ, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppyβs not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Milly is located in Narara, on the Central Coast NSW and will be available for adoption once all her vet work is done. Meet and greets can be organised prior to this :)
