About Jagger
Someone home a lot.
Single dog home.
Not tested with cats.
No small children – teenagers OK.
Hi, my name is Jagger and I am a big cuddly bear. I am a sweet little man looking for my forever home. Unfortunately I need a new place to live through no fault of my own. My current owners are not able to keep me as the other dog in the household keeps picking on me. I have lived with a family with young children my whole life, but I could accidently knock young ones over.
I would be super happy for someone to take me and give me the life I deserve. I would love to sleep inside with my new family and be near you as much as possible. Sadly I am not house trained as I was made to sleep outside which I hated but SRV have a trick to teach me not to pee in the house with a thing called a ‘Belly Band’- you can Google that if you like.
I am a very well behaved little boy, but I do get excited when I see people, so I can jump up and I don’t know my own strength. When cars pull up at the house I bark a little bit but it doesn’t last long. I am not used to going for walks but I’m sure I would like it. I love to run around outside with kids. I have had to amuse myself a lot and this made me sad, so having someone to play with is important to me. I need to go to obedience school like all dogs should, so if you are not willing to take me there then please don’t apply to adopt me.
Loud noises, thunder, lightning and fireworks scare me. I know how to sit, stay, walk and understand “good boy’. I haven’t been in a car so I’m not sure how I will go. The most important thing for me is to be with and around people, to be inside as much as I can and be looked after like I deserve.
In the near future I will be getting my behavioural assessment done, so will update my profile when that’s completed.
So, if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above, and in return I’ll give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for, please go to www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au. Here you will find all the information on the Adoption page, as well as links at the bottom.
Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to
http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/index.php/adoption-forms-6
and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan at jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every week to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
