About Magnum ~ Staffy x Border Collie (on trial 4-5-18)
Hi! My name is Magnum. If you’re looking for a new Best Mate, PICK ME! I am a handsome dude (just like Magnum PI) if I do say so myself. I am also as yummy as the ice cream. I am an 11 week old Staffy x Border Collie puppy. I am a little puppy who just wants to fill your life with cuddles, love and cuteness! I am always happy, especially when following you around helping with chores or on your lap!
After a rough start to life, I am now thriving. I currently sleep in a crate in my foster parents’ room and go all night with no accidents. I cry when I need to go out to the toilet. I also like to put myself to bed when tired.
I will grow to be a medium sized dog. I will need plenty of exercise and stimulation, so I will need to go to an active home where I can be taken for long daily walks (when I am over 1 year old) and included as part of the family. I will also need secure fencing. My dream life would be being included in every aspect of your life including weekend adventures to the beach, snuggling up inside with you in the evenings, and regular visits to dog parks to meet new friends.
I would love another dog to live with for company if someone cannot be home most of the time with me. Since I am still s baby I will need someone to be home most of the time as I still need to have 4 regular meals a day.
I am currently in foster care with other dogs, cats and chickens and am friendly and playful with them all (although I'm not allowed to chase the chickens).
I am smart and eager to please and am coming on well with basic training, but will need continued work in toilet training and lead walking with my new family. I would thrive with further obedience training and socialisation so that I can be a pleasure to live with.
As I am not yet desexed, I am only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because I'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when I am approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Magnum, please contact his foster carer Alisa on azproudaz7@gmail.com Magnum is in East Seaham, NSW (near Raymond Terrace).
Magnum's adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
