About Slate

Age: 9 weeks
Sex: Male
Dog Friendly: Yes
Child Friendly: Yes
Cat Friendly: Unknown
Toilet Trained: In training
Location: Caboolture, QLD
My name is Slate and I am one of the smaller puppies from the litter but just like my sister Marble, I have a big and beautiful personality. I strive to please my foster family and love giving them cuddles, kisses and getting lots of their attention. Although my foster mum always lets me outside and then back inside, I took it upon myself to teach myself and my sister how to use the doggy door....I am a very smart boy who also knows how to sit, sometimes drop and am improving every day with toilet training. There is a baby in the house and I am especially fond of him and always make sure I am gentle around him even when I’m excited.
I love playing, eating and learning new things. Just like my sister, I’m looking for a versatile and active family who can help further my training, give me the love I deserve, and be gentle but stern with me for me to be my best.
My foster family make me happy, as I do them, but I need to find my own family where I can blossom. Will you be my family? I promise I’ll be a good boy!

Slate has/will have the following vetwork completed:
~ Desexed

Adoption details
~ ADOPTION PROCESS ~
STEP 1: An Adoption application MUST be filled out prior to the meet and greet with the animal.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT DO INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS ** We require all animals to have a meet & greet with their new family before they are officially adopted, no exceptions. If you are willing and able to meet the dog in person, we are happy to accomodate the adoption.
STEP 2: If successful, our foster carer will be in touch within 24-48 hours.
STEP 3: A 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place. You must bring your current dog along to the meet and greet if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption. If meeting a cat we do not recommend brining your current dog/cat as this may stress the cat/kitten out.
STEP 4: The animal MUST not be taken on the day unless PRIOR ARRANGED (travelling over a 4 hr round trip), we will NOT ACCEPT the animal to be taken on the day if less then 2 days notice is given. If prior arrangement is made, an adoption agreement/s and payment must be made before collection of the animal.
STEP 5: A 10 day trial period commences once the animal has been collected from the foster carer.
STEP 6: The Adoption is the finalised after 14 days and paperwork is sent via email after this period. Please note this can take up to 4 weeks pending on the microchip paperwork.
Sorry we can’t take calls, as our rescue is run entirely by volunteers, but we endeavour to respond to your email within 24 - 48 hours. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
** PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT HOLD ANY ANIMALS SO PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT NOW. **
