About Roxy
ROXY (born August 2017)
Beautiful black and tan kelpie
(Grandfather was a NZ Hunterway...hence her larger size)
She is a real sweety but has had only had minimal training.
So we are on a quick learning curve, and have mastered sit for treats, and small steps yet for the 'stay' command.Roxy loves to please her human companions and is eager to stay in your company, she loves the attention but will happily chew on a bone, play with a toy or sunbake in the garden quietly by herself.
We have been introducing her to the foster cats while staying inside the house each night.Roxy wasn't sure of them to start with but now shes not to fussed by them wandering around her and will even cuddle up with them! Excellent.
A cat friendly kelpie!
Shes been a little timid while learning the new experience of being out in the big wide world on harness and lead, but with daily walks with the other foster dogs' help she's getting the hang of it very quickly!
Each day is another successful broadening of her horizons .. it is so wonderful to see and feel her growing confidence.
All Roxy needs is attention, positive reinforcement training routine and patience..
She is a smart girl,a little timid to new experiences, but a quick learner and will most definately make a wonderful lifelong companion.
Roxy is currently being cared for in Echuca which is three hours north of Melbourne.
