About Florence *On Trial in Her New Home*
*FLORENCE IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Meet fun-loving Florence!! She’s looking for a fantastic forever home who’ll give her lots of love as well as continuing on with her training and socialisation so she grows up to have marvellous manners; will it be with you?
Rescued from Broken Hill Pound, where she’d been surrendered as an unwanted Christmas present, Florence is a confident young dog who’d love a home with a playful pooch if you were to be at work for most of the day as she enjoys having company. She is a clever pup who has mastered sit, drop, stay, leave it, go to your mat, in your bed and knows her name well and has good recall. Florence is also very food orientated (Schmackos are yum!) which will help with any further training you’d like to do with her.
This gorgeous girl gets along well with her foster carers own dogs though can be a bit rough with the older little ones, so a similar sized dog in her forever home would suit her best. She’s ok with the household cats just wanting them to play with her too though they tend to steer clear of her foolish antics! And Florence is great with kids though school age would be the go as she does tend to jump up a bit when she’s super-excited and may accidentally bowl a toddler over.
Enjoy some video of Florence: https://youtu.be/qYNWuVgo04U
As you can see in her video Florence loves doggie toys and is always up for a game of tug-o-war and has even learnt to fetch bringing the ball back most times but will always ‘drop it’ when asked. Florence also enjoys going for a walk though as she can be quite strong so a balance harness (or similar) is the way to go.
Fabulous Florence also loves spending time indoors and enjoys a snuggle on the couch if she can get away with it! While in foster care she has gotten the hang of toilet-training and learned to use a doggie door, so we’d love to see this indoor / outdoor lifestyle to continue in her forever home. She is also crate-trained and happily goes in there at bedtime or at any time during the day when she’s feeling a little sleepy or just needs some timeout.
Coming into care Florence was afraid of water but with patience and making the experience positive she will now jump into a doggy pool and will also tolerate a bath without a fuss.
So if you’ve got the time, patience and love required to continue bringing up Florence then please download and complete a SARG Dog Application form by following this link: http://www.sarg.net.au/adopt-a-pet/

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
