About Cricket ~ Staffy x BC (on trial 19-4-18)
Meet Cricket, an 11 week old Staffy x Border Collie puppy. Cricket is an angelic little puppy who just wants to fill your life with cuddles, love and cuteness! She is unique amongst her siblings in being a gorgeous golden colour, and has the sweetest smiley face. Cricket is always happy, especially when by your side or on your lap!
Cricket will grow to be a medium sized dog. Her Border Collie side means she will need plenty of exercise and stimulation, so she will need to go to an active home where she can be taken for long daily walks and included as part of the family. She will also need tall, secure fencing. Her dream life would include weekend adventures to the beach, snuggling up inside with you in the evenings, and regular visits to dog parks to meet new friends.
Cricket would love another dog to live with for company if someone cannot be home most of the time with her.
Cricket is in foster care with other dogs and cats and is friendly and playful with them all. She is smart and eager to please and is coming on well with basic training, but will need continued work in toilet training and lead walking with her new family.
Cricket's brother Oakley is also available for adoption.
As Cricket is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Cricket, please contact her foster carer on Katie on katiesteele_@hotmail.com. Cricket is in Belmont South, NSW (Lake Macquarie, near Newcastle).
Cricket's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
