About Mida DL1866
Mida is an adorable boy who has a quiet nature and can be quite shy at first until he gets to know you.
He loves being close to you while you’re at home and will keep a watchful eye on what you are doing and where you are. He is an unobtrusive, quiet little doggy but can make quite a noise if he hears or sees something he regards as suspicious.
Mida is more than happy to sleep on the couch in the lounge room during the day and loves to snuggle up with you on the bed at night. He especially enjoys burrowing under the doona, scatter cushions and his blankets.
Mida travels very well, harnessed in a car and you won’t hear a sound from him in the back seat. He hasn’t displayed separation anxiety but is very excited when you come home, sometimes running up to meet you and other times just waiting on the couch with a wagging tail, welcoming you.
Mida loves going for walks, exploring new places and meeting new people. As he is only small, takes short walks. He does get excited when he sees people and other dogs and will try to run towards them, so will need more training in this regard. He is house trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He is still in the process of learning to use the doggy door.
Mida loves having tummy scratches and cuddles. He also likes being brushed. He does shed, but with daily brushing this tends to be less of a concern. He does not like having his face washed in the evenings but it is necessary to clean his eyes. He has his daily food allowance separated into 3 portions (as his breed needs small meals spread throughout the day to
prevent sugar levels fluctuating too much).
Mida haven’t been tested with cats, but is very eager to try and chase after the ones he came across on his walks, so will probably not get along with them very well. Midas loves meeting other dogs but will sometimes snap at them, so need supervision during these meetings.
He loves meeting new people although can become nervous when children are very noisy and boisterous. As he is very small and fragile it would be best for him with older children who will know how to be careful around him.

Adoption details
ADOPTION:
1. Email DFLadoption@gmail.com to contact our Adoption Team & we will send you an expression of interest form to return
2. Successful applicants will then have a 'Meet & Greet' with the dog and their carer, along with a volunteer home visit & fence check, before beginning a trial period with the dog to ensure a great match for all involved.
DFL dogs are vaccinated, micro chipped & desexed prior to adoption (or at 6 months as a condition of adoption).
FOSTER:
If a dog is listed as "Foster Carer Needed", they are looking for a temporary home in Perth metro while their vet work is completed and while they wait for their forever home. They may also be fostered with the view to adoption. Please email us for more information.

2. Foster care applicants will then have a volunteer home visit & fence check, and a 'Meet & Greet' with the dog and their carer/rescue representative, before commencing foster care.
