About Lewis
Excuse me. I can see that you are looking for a new furbaby and I thought I would say hi. I am a pretty shy guy until I get to know you but I am sure that you will understand. You see, my previous life wasn’t very happy and I still think about it sometimes. My saving grace came when I was out running on the road and a car hit me. I know that doesn’t sound very lucky but they took me to a place called “the pound” and the people there gave me somewhere safe to stay. Of course, I was terrified but then a rescue group saw past my terror and offered me a home to stay in until I was ready to find my very own home. Since being with my foster carers, I have learned how to trust. I have learned that people can be kind and that food comes every day!! At first, I was too scared to even come inside but once I watched the other dogs coming and going, I decided to follow them in. WOW, inside is awesome! There are humans and beds and toys and treats! The humans told me that I have to go outside when I need to go to the toilet and of course I always do. I am very clever. I worked out where all the yummy food was coming from and taught myself to open the fridge. How clever is that? My foster mummy didn’t think it was very clever but there was some yummy food in there so I was proud of myself. I really love food. I can even sit on command. I can be a bit scared of some men, especially if they have big bushy beards. My foster carer thinks they remind me of my past. I am incredibly loyal and I will bond to my forever mummy very strongly. I will follow her everywhere and even climb into bed with her if I get the chance! Even though I look a bit like a Kelpie, I am not very big, I weigh around 12 kg. The drs think I am probably a Foxie x. I have short little legs. I am happy to walk on a leash and enjoy going for a walk. I am good with other dogs but I don’t need another dog to be happy if I have my humans with me. I guess what I am hoping is that someone will see past my nervousness and adopt me as their very own furbaby. Is that you? Love Lewis xx PLEASE NOTE: This pet is located in Kingaroy.
