About Shoop
Please complete an application at http://www.startingoverdogrescue.org.au/adoption--expression-of-interest-form.html
Shoop is still very much a puppy who loves attention and being around people. He is food responsive and is still requiring additional training to be a well behaved and sociable dog. He is in the chewing stage and will need extra toys and walks in morning and evening to tire him out.
He loves going to doggy day care and being around other dogs and would benefit from having an older dog to be around. Shoop thinks he is a lap dog and loves sitting on you, pretending you are his personal couch and giving lots of licks in the mean time. He is a busy body around the house, poking his nose and exploring the house for a while before settling down. He does jump when excited but sits on command and doesn't push through doors. Crate trained and he sleeps in the crate through the whole night. Toilet training is a work in progress, he is supervised when indoors and hasn't had many accidents indoors
Shoop does need some time to settle down in new environments and gets over excited/anxious the first few minutes. Still learning to walk on a leash in straight lines and not chew on the leash during walks. He does get a little anxious when walking around at night and on new streets and will look to you or another dog for reassurance. Obedience training and doggy day care to keep him well mannered and socialised is very important.
May not be suitable with young children due to size. Not tested with cats.
