About Arki *On Trial in His New Home*
*ARKI IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Looking for a sweet little dog who loves a cuddle? Then you can’t go past adorable Arki the purebred Silky Terrier with the heart of gold!
Recently surrendered to us for rehousing, through no fault of his own, Arki is a terrific little dog who loves hanging with his humans and really loves going for walks. When he first came into care Arki was a bit afraid of children, having not had a lot to do with them in his past life, but since getting out and about with his foster carer he’s now happy to receive a pat from them without shying away though we reckon if he was going to live with kids Arki would prefer them to be older and definitely not boisterous.
Adorable Arki would be fine in a home where he’s the only dog as that’s what he’s used to, though it would be terrific if his humans weren’t full-time workers as he really does enjoy having company, so a part-timer, a semi-retired person or even someone who works from home would be perfect. While in care he’s learnt to interact and even play with his carers own little Poodles (he loves other dogs!) though for Arki it really is all about that human interaction and he craves it whether it’s sitting on your knee while you watch tv or pottering around in the garden, Arki will never be far away.
Arki is also good with cats having lived with an old one before, and is living with one again in his foster home. Arki’s carer says he has the tiniest bark, however makes up for that with enthusiasm and is so pleased to see her when she comes home from work he jumps for joy and does his happy dance!
At just under 7kgs Arki is a terrific ‘take-anywhere’ size. He is fairly low maintenance only needing a short walk or run around the backyard to use up his energy and he doesn’t lose much hair; the occasional brush and bath will keep this handsome fella looking his best!
Loveable Arki sleeps inside at night in his crate (yes he is crate-trained!), and while in care he has learnt to use a doggie door, so we would want his indoor / outdoor lifestyle to continue in his forever home.
So if you reckon you’ve got room in your heart and your home for charming Arki then please download and complete a SARG Dog Application form by following this link: http://www.sarg.net.au/adopt-a-pet/

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
