About Buddy ~ Border Collie X (on trial 22/6/19)
Buddy is a 2 year old male Border Collie X dog in need of a new loving home. Unfortunately, his family have had to relocated and are sadly unable to take him with them. He is an extremely handsome boy with his unique coat of distinguished markings, including a spotty ear. He is very proud of the fact he gets many comments at the dog park on what an unusually good looking, dog he is.
Being such an active young dog Buddy would benefit from living somewhere with more land for him to run around on. He loves rounding up the flying birds and I am sure with a little training he would be of great help around a farm. His current family have chickens that he loves to round up back into their coupe.
After months of diligent training at the Hillsborough dog school, Buddy proved to be outstanding and won awards to show for it. He is now fully trained and would benefit from and love to attend agility training, if not on a farm. He is not a barker unless there is unwanted company. He does not dig or chew and his main interest in life is gaining your praise and attention, appreciation and affection.
Buddy gets a little excited when he first meets you but settles down quickly. He loves to come inside where his favourite hobby is cooking (this being standing next to you in the kitchen with a funny look on his face, obviously thinking he is just such a good helper. He sleeps inside and out, currently sleeping in his kennel at the back door under the pergola, but is house trained and would love to sleep inside.
If children are within Buddies new family the ideal age would be 10 years and up. Other dogs are not a problem he gets on great with small or large dogs.
If you are interested in meeting Buddy, please contact Michelle 0423262133 or email michellebeacher@yahoo.com.au who is taking all enquiries for him. He is currently located in Valentine, Newcastle and is available for adoption interstate.
Buddy’s adoption fee is $250. He is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
