About Cooper
Everyone, meet Cooper. If you’re looking for a pup who is well on the way to having a most excellent set of manners and is happy and friendly, Cooper is your guy!
He’s a handsome boy with warm brown markings and he’s always happy to meet humans and dogs alike when he’s out on his walks.
Cooper might be an option for a household with cats. As always, we always recommend great care being taken until things settle down, but here’s what we know. He gets along like a house on fire with the older male and female husky that he’s fostered with.
He’s also living with two cats. Cooper keeps his distance from the older hissy cat who bosses him around, and plays with the kitten but can be prone to chasing it, so he needs further training before we can truly call him cat-friendly. He may suit a home with an older cat who isn’t afraid to tell him to hiss off.
Cooper has learned to sit, stay and some of the other basics, and he’s good on lead (usually), but does get very excited and pulls like he’s on the final leg of the Iditarod if he’s on lead with another husky, so there’s some work to be done there.
He does have typical husky selective hearing when it comes to training and commands, and we find treats are the perfect ear-opener.
Cooper is a happy, well adjusted pupper who needs a loving home with some humans that will give him the basic training that he needs. He’d ideally do best with another dog for company as he does get some separation anxiety if he is separated his foster siblings and humans.
This friendly, happy boy has a lifetime of love to give, and we’d love to see him in his furever home soon.
