About Huey and louey suk001871 suk001882
If your looking for a bonded pair of beautiful boys you have found them. Huey and Louey adore each other and we would love for them to be adopted together. Huey is the more out going of the pair and is always ready willing and waiting for attention. Louey is more reserved and wants to get to know you before he climbs all over you. The boys are a conditional adoption due to an eye condition (details below). If you think you can give these boys the home they deserve our team will be happy to discuss their condition.
They can go together – that would be preferable, but not essential, we don’t want to hold both back if one can get a home. Clearly they must stay inside or have an enclosure.
Medical notes
They both have congenital eye defects which developed as a result of an infection they got from their mother at birth or shortly after. The infection caused conjunctivitis which ‘glued’ their eyes shut before they had even had a chance to open.
When their eyes we supposed to open and be exposed to the light, they couldn’t as they were glued shut. As their eyes didn’t get adequate exposure to light at the critical time, their optic tracts didn’t develop properly in the affected eye.
Their ‘good’ eye is fine however vision is poor in the affected eye. They will not have proper vision in the affected eye, and the ophthalmologist can’t rule out possible future deterioration – bit like asking how long is a piece of string. Prognosis is ‘open’ to cover all options.
Should the eye deteriorate and require removal, CPS will remove it (enucleation) at no cost.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
