About Jersey ~ BC x Wolfhound (on trial 13-4-2018)
My name is Jersey and I’m a 10 week old, Border Collie x Wolfhound bundle of cuteness.
My brother and sisters are my best friends and I love playing wrestles and chaseys! I’m not as energetic as my sister Cali, mum says I’m more “mellow” and cuddles are my fave-but I’m still fun I swear!
I am learning my basic commands with my foster family, but because I’m still going through “that puppy stage” as they call it, I will benefit from puppy preschool once I’m in my new home-not just for obedience but for socializing and exercise too.
My ideal new family will be able to spend loads of time with me teaching me new things and understand I am still only a puppy. For the first couple of months I will need someone home full time as I get lonely and will miss you when you’re not with me, I also get hungry and will need breakfast, lunch and dinner just like you!
I currently sleep in my bed alongside my sister in the laundry of a night so I would love a fur-brother or sister in my new home for me to cuddle with. Please make sure my new yard doesn’t have any gaps in the fences or small spaces because even though I will grow up, I’m still very small and very inquisitive.
I can’t wait to meet my new family and find my fur-ever home!
My sister Cali is also available for adoption.
As Jersey is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Jersey, please send the adoption questionnaire
http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx to her foster mum Brittany on Brittany_wilson@live.com Jersey is in Newcastle area NSW.
Jersey's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.
Medical notes
Happy and healthy.
As Jersey is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire. Word format: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx or PDF: http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.pdf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
