Khoda was rescued from a NSW country pound, heavily pregnant and in terrible condition. The day after arriving in Melbourne, she gave birth to 3 pups, of which only 1 survived. There were 5 two-day old pups rushed to her after being surrendered to the pound and she accepted as her own. There was also a litter of 9 pups that would also latch on. I have been told that she was an amazing Mum and when the pups were old enough, she came to live with us so we could FINALLY put some weight on her. The poor thing was skin and bones. Khoda is now healthy enough to begin her next adventure in her FURever home.

Khoda is currently living with a Boxer x and a Staffy x and has had no problems settling in. On her very first day with us she mastered opening the back door (in comparison my Boxer x took several months). She loves to play and will happily play on her own by throwing her toys up and chasing them.

Despite being the submissive one in our pack, she is no follower. If my two are going berserk because, heaven forbid, THE WIND MOVED A LEAF, Khoda raises her head and goes back to sleep. She’s had puppies! She’s not interested in the drama! She enjoys her peace and quiet. For this reason I think she will make the perfect camping and adventure dog. As long as the great outdoors can handle her snoring!!!
