Harper

Harper is an 18-month-old Kelpie X, with a timid, yet sweet personality. She is a small dog with a gentle temperament and an easy-going nature. Harper prefers to have her personal space; however, she will always be up for snuggle. She enjoys spending her time both inside and outside, and is certainly becoming comfortable with quality times with her owners, either on the couch or her own soft bed.

Despite the lack of knowledge about Harper’s backstory, she is friendly towards all humans and only shows minimal reluctance to new and unfamiliar experiences. She is learning to walk properly on the lead, as she often stops to smell her surroundings. However, with time, she shows potential for a more confident attitude. Although she is a bit sensitive to noise, Harper is familiarising herself to her name being called and simple commands, such as sit and come, especially with the incentive of treats. She has yet to perfect these skills, which will come with time. She is house trained and has so far left no accidents.

Fortunately, Harper’s quick learning and friendly personality allows her to be suited to families of all kinds. Whilst she gets on well with our small dogs, I believe she would appreciate a friend with similar playfulness, as she tends to have plenty of energy throughout the day. It should be noted that Harper would not benefit from being left alone for long periods of time or for farm work.

With enough patience and lots of love, Harper will sure be the perfect addition to your family.
